Jonathan Cheng is “super motivated” to teach a Thursday evening class for the sole purpose of helping strong double-digit kyu players (roughly 15-10 kyu) to reach single digit kyu within months. The first class of “Breaking Into Single Digit Kyu” will be on Thursday, August 10, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The structure of the class consists of primarily reviewing games of the students, and therefore it will be highly interactive, just like a private tutoring session. Through the game reviews, you will learn:
1. Basic concepts for the beginning and mid-game
2. Solving life-and-death and tesuji problems in your games
3. Basic qualities/attitude of being a decent go player (How to win a losing game? Or give handicaps? Or play against a stronger player?)
